2015 Noche de Gala Venue
Besilu, located in Micanopy, FL, is a spectacular 675-acre farm, home to Besilu Collection, a dynasty of Paso Fino Champions. Besilu Stables, its Thoroughbred racing venture, boasts some of the finest stock in Florida, including three-time Eclipse Champion and two time winner of the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic, Royal Delta. The farm contains six residences and eight barns with the ability to stall over 120 horses. It was originally built as a Thoroughbred breeding and training facility with a synthetic surface racetrack, used today by Besilu Stables to prepare its two-year-old racing prospects. The farm’s former Yearling and Broodmare barns are home to the Besilu Collection Paso Fino stallions, broodmares, foals and show horses. An intricate computerized lighting system controls more than 1,500 landscape lights, illuminating trees, gardens, ponds, statues and buildings which gives the farm a magical quality at night. Noche de Gala will be held adjacent to an extraordinary three-barn complex that once housed Thoroughbred breeding stallions and the site of Besilu sales and events.
